Scout Hall Hire

The Frenchs Forest Scout Hall is available to hire to community groups, organisations and individuals when it is not being used by our Scout Group. All income from hall hire goes directly towards supporting our Scouts and maintaining our facilities.

The hall can be hired on a regular basis or as a one-off booking.

What can the hall be used for?

With a large timber floor area, the hall is suitable for a variety of activities, including:

• Lessons, classes and community activities
• Children’s birthday parties, including space for jumping castles, kindy farms and outdoor activities
• Scout and youth groups
• Meetings, workshops and training sessions
• Other community and commercial activities

The hall also provides easy access to numerous walking tracks within Garigal National Park.

Hire Rates & Conditions

Standard hire: $50 per hour, with a minimum booking of 4 hours.

Friday and Saturday evening bookings: $500, plus a cash bond.

A cash bond may also be required for other bookings, depending on the type and nature of the event.

For some evening bookings, security personnel may be required at the discretion of the Scout Group. Any required security costs will be the responsibility of the hirer.

Important Booking Restrictions

To ensure the hall remains suitable for our community and Scout activities, We do not accept bookings for 16th to 35th birthday celebrations.

We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion, including bookings where we have concerns about the nature, size or suitability of the event.

All bookings are subject to our hire conditions.

Hall Facilities

Main Hall: 138 square metre wooden floor
Bathrooms: Male and female
Hall Capacity: 80 seated
Kitchen: Fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave and urn
Furniture: Trestle tables and chairs available for use
Outdoor areas: Two unfenced lawn areas suitable for marquees, jumping castles, outdoor seating and other activities

Hire Conditions

Commercial hirers are required to hold their own public liability insurance and sign a licence agreement with Scouts NSW.

The hirer is responsible for all cleaning and must remove all rubbish from the premises at the conclusion of the booking.
