Cubs Head to Garigal District Camp March2026

Our Cub Scouts recently had an amazing weekend attending the Garigal District Cub Camp 2026, joining other Scout groups from across the district for a fun-filled outdoor adventure.

Held at Camp Kariong, the camp brought together Cubs for two nights of excitement, friendship, and new experiences. From the moment they arrived, our Cubs embraced the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones and make connections with Cub Scouts from other groups.

The weekend was packed with engaging activities including capture the flag, navigation challenges, riding the flying fox, and shelter building. These hands-on experiences gave Cubs the chance to develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and confidence while having plenty of fun outdoors. A highlight for many was the campfire, where Cubs shared songs, skits, and lots of laughter.

A special part of the weekend was celebrating 110 years of Cub Scouts, recognising the long history of adventure, learning, and community that Cubs have enjoyed across generations.

Camps like this play an important role in the Cub Scout program, helping young people build confidence, independence, and resilience in a supportive environment. It was fantastic to see our Cubs encouraging one another, trying new things, and demonstrating great Scout spirit throughout the weekend.

A big thank you goes to the dedicated Leaders and volunteers who made this camp possible and ensured a safe and memorable experience for everyone involved.

We’re so proud of all our Cubs for the way they represented our group and embraced the adventure — we’re already looking forward to the next one!
